Description
Ada Davies Sampler 1852 by The Wishing Thorn Cross Stitch Pattern. The original was stitched on a large canvas count using wool. Often it was so thick she could not make proper cross stitches. I checked all my overdyed linens to compare which matches the blotchy canvas and Zweigart’s Vintage Country Mocha is a pretty close match. Use this as a guide when you choose a fabric.
