Description
Wake up snakes and bite a biscuit! Good Western Morning cross stitch pattern by Lindy Stitches. I first heard this phrase from Teresa Lass, a stitcher who was sharing some funny western sayings from her family. With some further research I discovered that it was a commonly-used phrase by a “cookie” – a wagon train cook.Cowboy slang is an interesting and often humorous research topic!I was uncertain whether to include a comma after the word UP – are the sleepers the snakes, or are they supposed to wake up the snakes?I’ll leave that up to you!
